Every community around the world has been hit fast and hard by the rippling effects of social distancing, and our local community in Lexington is no exception. Institute 193 is joining the ranks of other small businesses and arts organizations reaching out to their communities for support and taking part in Giving Tuesday Now.

#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5, 2020 – in addition to the regularly scheduled Dec 1, 2020 #GivingTuesday – as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, generosity is what brings people together across the globe. Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on.

Not unlike many small nonprofit arts organizations, Institute 193 is in a particularly vulnerable position. At times like this we are continuing to adapt and publish work in an effort to deliver meaningful content to artists and appreciators of the arts in our local and global community alike.
